Orthographical Rules for the "-er" Ending

In Inglish, the -er ending is preserved in adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, and prepositions that originally end with -er in English. 
While -er is primarily used for forming comparatives in adjectives (covered in grammar), the following categories retain the -er ending without changes.

1. Adjectives and Adverbs:

Adjectives and adverbs that end in -er maintain this ending in Inglish.

Examples:

    clever 
    bitter
    forever
    ever
    never

2. Conjunctions:

Conjunctions with the -er ending remain unchanged.

Examples:

    either → iþer
    neither → niþer
    whether → wheþer

3. Prepositions:

Prepositions ending in -er also retain their traditional spelling.

Examples:

    after
    under → onder
    over
